Job Summary:
Responsible for the delivery and pick up of products over established routes. Responsibilities will include the correct loading and unloading of all party rental supplies, equipment, and fixtures, recording of delivery information, accepting payment for goods, and ensuring overall vehicle safety. The Driver will be expected to operate the vehicle in a safe manner at all times, obeying all rules of the road, and follow all appropriate company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:
Duties include operating and maintaining vehicles with a focus on safety and customer courtesy; performing daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; performing minor maintenance tasks on the vehicles when necessary; fueling the vehicles; ensuring that periodic scheduled vehicle maintenance is completed and reported; preparing trip reports; preparing accident and incident reports as necessary.
Provides assistance in the set-up and pick-up of equipment and materials on customer sites. Interact with the receiving customer to coordinate the deliver and pick-up of equipment and/or supplies. Obtains the necessary signatures from customers after every delivery and pick-up, and returns all pertinent paperwork at the end of each day to the dispatch office. Maintains an accurate log of phone calls made using the company provided cell phone. Perform other duties as requested.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Ability to drive vans/trucks safely and appropriately, including ability to read and interpret road signs in English; ability to read, understand, and adhere to the rules and regulations of the Federal Transit Administration and United States Department of Transportation; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to establish effective professional relationships with customers, co-workers, and upper level staff and employees; ability to prepare concise and accurate records and reports; extensive knowledge of the operations and features of assigned vehicles(s); ability to recognize vehicle maintenance needs; ability to perform minor vehicle repairs; skilled in reasoning skills to interpret policies and procedures, maps, and route directions.
Training & Experience:
Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certificates and/or Liscenses Required:
Possess and maintain a safe driving record verified by the state DMV. Ability to safely carry/lift up to 80 lbs; ability to tow and be familiar with towing procedures; and must posses a valid California drivers license.
