Job Summary:

Responsible for shipping and receiving of party rental equipment. Responsibilities will include the correct loading, unloading of party rental equipment, and fixtures. Responsible for the accurate inventory count of supplies delivered and shipped. Adhere to all appropriate company policies and procedures. Essential Functions:

The work is typically very physical and demanding, both from strength requirements and the stamina required. Will also help maintain inventory. Shipping and receiving functions, from light to heavy, are also performed. Janitorial responsibilities, both inside and outside the premises, are also involved.
Performs loading and unloading duties, on a daily basis, as instructed by the supervisor.
Performs other duties as assigned and/or requested.
Must stand for long periods of time. Most work will be indoors with general warehouse conditions, in which some work areas may not be heated or air conditioned. This job requires constant interaction with co-workers and with the public. This position requires frequent lifting and a significant degree of walking, bending and transporting objects of various weights and dimensions.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

A high school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred but not required.
Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs.
Must maintain a professional personal appearance.
Must possess customer relation skills.
Must be able to use mathematics to solve problems.
Must pass company drug screen.
Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
Must have a full range of motion and dexterity.
Must be able to understand and follow instructions furnished in written, oral and scheduled form.
Maintain a cooperative working relationship with co-workers.

Training & Experience:

Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Ability to read and understand and adhere to the rules and regulations of the Federal Transit Administration and United States Department of Transportation.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to establish effective professional relationships with customers, co-workers and employees.
Ability to safely carry/lift up to 80 lbs., observing all safe lifting/carrying techniques.Ability to read, write, and follow detailed written instructions

Certificates and/or Liscenses Required:

Must pass pre-employment and/or random employment substance abuse screening.
Must currently hold a valid California Identification.
